Scaffolding training applications can be submitted through the Korea Scaffolding Institute website. Reservations for training cannot be made by phone. According to Article 140 of the Industrial Safety and Health Act, scaffolding workers must complete 8 hours of training. Failure to do so may result in up to 3 years imprisonment or a fine of 30 million won (Article 169 of the Industrial Safety and Health Act).
Training applications can be submitted without member registration. The currently offered training program is called 'Scaffolding Assembly and Dismantling Work Skill Acquisition', and it involves 8 hours of training. Upon passing the exam after completing the training, a certificate of completion will be issued on the same day. Same-day applications are not permitted, and the participation fee is 70,000 won. When attending training, you must bring your identification card, athletic shoes, and comfortable clothing. The course includes both theory and practical sessions.
Due to the perceived danger of scaffolding work, the Ministry of Employment and Labor has classified it as a hazardous and dangerous task. When you apply online, you will receive training instructions via KakaoTalk. If you do not receive the message, you can check it directly on the website.
